1. Sync your calendar – Connect the calendar you use to make plans outside of work (this could be the same as your work calendar).
2. Sync your contacts – This helps us verify who your friends are in real life and match openings in your schedules. It also allows you to send invites. You can manually add individual contacts if needed.
3. Create a Meet – Tap the + button to set up a Meet. You can either:
A. Choose a specific date and time
B. Use "Ask my friends" to let us find the best available time for the group
We'll display group availability options, and you can select the one that works best for you rinvitees. Note: This feature is only available between you and other Purposely Social users.
Tap the share icon to send a quick text with the app link. The more of your friends who join, the eaiser it is to get together.
FAQ
Can my friends see my calendar or when I’m busy?
No. Purposely Social works in the background to identify when you and your friends are mutually available, based on your calendars. We suggest times for the group to meet without revealing your schedule.
Is there a way to regularly block my availability?
Yes. Social Hours lets you set the dates and times you prefer to socialize. This prevents the system from assuming you're free during times you’re generally busy or want alone time.
Will I get texts or emails from you?
No. Push notifications are the only way you’ll be notified about invitations or plan changes, so it's important you turn these ON. You may get emails from your calendar service (e.g. Google) you that an event has been added to your personal calendar. We keep these interruptions minimal. You can enable notifications in Settings.
Can I change my RSVP?
Yes. Go to the Meet in your calendar and update your RSVP response. The host will be notified.
I’m having an issue. Where can I report it?
